Google Hotel Ads Set up

There are 2 steps to set up the connection to Google Hotel Ads:

1. Register and managed your Hotel information through Google Business Profile
   
   
2. Complete the registration in your iBex Channel Manager

The instructions below will advise you how to register Google Hotel Ads in your iBex Channel Manager. After completion it will take a week for google to update the hotel list and show the prices.

Important Note: Properties with a long term stay(minimum of 30 days) example apartments are ineligible for Google Hotel Ads. 

Registration

Register Google Hotel Ads in the Channel Manager

Step	Action
1	Login to your iBex account – click here
2	From left menu select the New Sales Channel (in the Channel Management  section in your menu)
3	There will be a pop up window titled ‘Register Available Sales Channel’
4	Enter ‘google’ into the search field (at top right of the window) and press enter on your keyboard.
5	Google Hotel Ads will be offered so click the plus icon to add them to your Channel Manager. You will then be taken to the Google Hotel Ads registration screen where you can add details and set any rules necessary
6	Optionally update General section fields as required. Since Google Hotel Ads will send the customer to your booking screen it is recommended that you leave the default settings so that the customer can book the same rates and room types that are displayed on your own booking screen.
7	Click Register Sales Channel button.
8	You will now be taken to the Channel Mapping tab where you can set where the customer is sent to once they click your  button and what price is displayed on the Google Ad.
9	In the Channel Mapping Information section, you will need to add information about your property, the website template ID that the Google Hotel Ad “Book” button will take them to and set the mapping.   Please note that the Channel Property ID will be automatically populated for you after you have saved the information required.   Enter your Property Latitude / Longitude (click here to obtain). These details are used for property matching on Google. Add in your Google Property Name: This is added so the property name in the google business profile is the same Enter Free Cancellation before Check in: Free Cancellation/ Full refund will apply when the user sets 'X' number days before arrival eg if i had entered 10 then it will mean the guest can get a full refund 10day before arrival. The Booking Screen Template ID (iBex booking engine) is the front booking screen that customers will be taken to when they click on “Book” button on the Google Ad.   Important notes: The Booking Screen Template Format should be Date Selection and Allow same day needs to be true. And Template Type should be Single Property.    Please note that if you have multiple properties, each property will require it’s own Google Business Profile and Channel Mapping.
10	You can now set what rooms should be presented for each room type that Google show to their customers.   Add a Channel Room Name for each iBex Rooms and Select the rates that you want on your Google Hotel Ads. You can also map multiple rate types in a room. Important notes: The room types and rate types that you selected should be present in the website template that you want to use.   If you stop sell a room, it will not appear on Google but will still be shown on the booking screen that the customer can make a booking on.
11	Click the Save button.
12	Click the Save & Update Channel button. Your property, room and rate information will now be sent to Google so that customer can view your rates and rooms availability.
