Create a Web Portal Agent - Single Property
Creating website agent booking links enable you to tell which website has provided a booking to you. This could be useful for your own secondary website and social media sites such as Facebook.
NOTES:
(Assuming you are logged in to iBex)
Version 4
- In the left hand column, under 'Customers, Companies & Agents', select 'New Agent'
- At User ID field enter a short username (eg. facebook, webxyz, etc).
- At User Name field enter name required (eg. Facebook, Website XYZ, etc).
- Enter User Code if desired (any reference or code that is associated with this agent)
- Select Web Portal from the Type drop down box
- You may wish to enter extra details in notes or other fields, if not, click Save to add your new agent
Version 3
- From left menu select Users & Clients Create agent · no admin rights
- At User Full Name field enter name required (eg. Facebook, Website XYZ, etc).
- At User ID field enter a short username (eg. facebook, webxyz, etc).
- At Type ID field select Web Portal
- Scroll down to the field User Group and select as required.Note: Likely to be “Main” unless you will be providing different availability to the web portal agent than your own website.
- Scroll down to the field Room Rate Value and select as required.Note: Likely to be “Rate 1” unless you will be providing different prices to the web portal agent than your own website.
- Scroll down to the field Extras Rate Value and select as required.Note: Likely to be “Rate 1” unless you will be providing different prices to the web portal agent than your own website.
- At Sell Extras field set as required.
- At Payment Policy Details entry is only required if this will vary from your standard terms.
- At Terms & Conditions entry of cancellation is only required if this will vary from your standard terms.
- Update any other fields as required
- Ensure Status is set to Active and click Save button.
- Having created our web portal agent their booking link will be in the format below: http://www.seekom.com/accommodation/Property.php?op=zz&pid=yy&ru=xx
Key:
zz = your Master User ID
yy = Your Property Code (available at top of property maintenance screen)
xx = Registerd User ID (as set by you at step 3 above). - Finally, provide your web portal booking link to your website developer or agent. Or click here if you require instructions in adding the booking link into your facebook page.
