Click Here to login to your budgetplaces.com account.

On log in you will be presented with the Dashboard screen. Scroll down and click your property name (under heading My Establishments).

Budget Places will be responsible to create new rooms for the properties. Rate plans can be created / added by the properties themselves. The rooms and rate details need to be created and set up in Budget Places extranet before the connection in iBex can be done. Ensure each room is enabled and mapped against the rate/s so that they will appear in the mapping page in iBex.

It is also important to map the rate/s against the room type/s in Budget Places so those rates will appear in the mapping page in iBex for the particular room type/s.

The Standard Occupancy and Additional Occupancy of each room in Budget Places have to be set to match iBex.

Budget Places displays rates as price per occupancy for rooms and bookings so iBex is set to send price per occupancy and it is import to set the number of base pax/rate and additional pax/rate correctly in both iBex and Budget Places.

Once the rooms and rates in the extranet have been set up, mapping in iBex can be done.

Note your hotel code in page web address which be in the format of the example below (you will require this for step 16 below).

In left menu panel under heading General Information check for the option titled iBex mapping.

IMPORTANT: If this is not present please contact budgetplaces.com to request connection to iBex Channel Manager.

On confirmation from budgetplaces.com continue with connection instructions below.

NOTE: The latest version of Budget Places allows properties to map multiple rates per room (Where the old version only allows to map one rate per room).

Budget Places has included items like Breakfast and Cancellation policy as part of the rate plans, these will come through and display on the booking comment in iBex.

Once the interface / connection is ready and enabled, advise Budget Places at hotel@budgetplaces (Plus cc integrations@bugetplaces.com) and they will check that the connection is working as it should.

From left menu select Sales Channels Add a sales Channel

At the pop up window titled ‘New Sales Channel’ click the button Register Available Sales Channel

Enter ‘budget’ into search field at top right of window and press enter on your keyboard.

Matching results will be displayed – see example screen image below.

If this the first and only connection to budgetplaces.com click the green plus icon adjacent to Budget Places (see above example).

If this is an additional connection select budgetplaces.com (Connection 2 or 3) as appropriate. Refer Important Notes section below.

Optionally update General section fields as required. Notes are private.

At Rules section:

select required Selling Group (likely to be Agents)
select Rate Modifier (Rate 1 will typically be same as you sell at, other options will be a % increase or discount)
set Multi-booking Invoice as required (PMS accounts only. No means you will send an invoice for each booking, yes means you batch multiple bookings into an invoice)
set Commission charged by budgetplaces.com (PMS accounts only. )
set Commission Extras Code (PMS accounts only. Likely to be Misc Cmsn)

Refer to example below:

Click Register Sales Channel button.

You will progress to the Channel Mapping tab.

Enter your email address at iBex Notification Emails To field.

It is recommended that iBex Email on New Booking are set as follows:

Block Operator – not checked
Block Property – checked
Block Customer – checked

It is recommended that iBex Booking Email Rule is set to ‘Do not send emails’.

At Channel Property ID enter your budgetplaces.com hotel code (as obtained in step 3 above).

It is recommended that Send Rates is set as ticked.

Set Min Stay Handling field as required (we recommend First Available).

This is really only relevant if you will be mapping a single room type from iBex to multiple room types at budgetplaces.com (eg. for length of stay price variations, etc).

Set Allocation Handling field as required (we recommend Total per Room).

This is really only relevant if you will be mapping a single room type from iBex to multiple room types at budgetplaces.com (eg. for length of stay price variations, etc).

Click Save button.

Room and rate mapping will now be set – refer sample screen image below.

Complete each room mapping row as follows:

Channel Room Name – select as required (this is the room type name at budgetplaces.com).
iBex Rate Name – select as required .

Click ‘+’ to map any iBex room type to further room types at budgetplaces.com (eg. for differing minimum stays/rates – see notes at bottom of this page). See image below for an example where King Studio Unit and Twin Studio Unit have been connected to multiple room types at budgetplaces.com.

Click Save button.

Click Save & Update Channel button.

Wait a few minutes and click View Log button.

TIP - If the Remote Service Log Viewer indicates queued updates are pending, wait a further few minutes and click the ‘Refresh’ button.

If you have performed the connection successfully you will see OK messages for inventory and rates uploaded.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Multiple rates per room is now available.

Budget Places display price per occupancy.

When property set up their account in Budget Place, remember to determine the rate to include/exclude tax (VAT).

Ensure the number of base pax and extra pax for each room matches in both iBex and Budget Places.

The properties need to contact Budget Places if they want to create new rooms.

iBex supports up to 3 connections to budgetplaces.com from a single property. Instructions vary at step 9 above if setting up a 2nd or 3rd connection.

You need to ensure minimum and maximum guest numbers in room type set up at budgetplaces.com match settings in Seekom iBex.

budgetplaces.com cannot accept multiple rates or minimum stay variations from iBex for a single room type. If you wish to provide availability from iBex to budgetplaces.com for differing rates and minimum stay periods on a room type you will need to duplicate the room at budgetplaces.com for each differing minimum stay.

After any extensive modification of your rates/prices within iBex it is recommended you perform a full re-synch to budgetplaces.com. Click here for instruction

Add budgetplaces.com as an ODN agent in Seekom iBex:

From left menu select Users & Clients Create agent • no admin rights
At field labelled Seekom ODN Agents select Budget Places (ODN) NOTE: If setting a second connection select ‘Budget Places (Connection 2)’ or for a third connection select ‘Budget Places (Connection 3)’ .
Set User Group and Room Rate Value as required
Set other fields as required
Click Save button (towards bottom of screen)

From left menu select Users & Clients Agent Room-rate mapping.

At Available Services field select Budget Places

NOTE: If setting a second connection select ‘Budget Places (Connection 2)’ or for a third connection select ‘Budget Places (Connection 3)’

Enter Remote Property ID field enter your budgetplaces.com hotel code (as obtained in step 3 above) .

Ignore remaining fields at this stage and click Save button and then re-select Budget Places.

Enter your email address at Notify Errors field.

Interface rules will now be set – refer sample screen image below.

It is recommended that Stop Emails are set as follows:

Operator – not checked
Property – checked
Customer – checked
Agent – checked
3rd Party – checked
Disable Auto – checked

We recommend the field post Rates is checked.

Set Allocation Handling field as required.

This is only relevant if you will be mapping a single room type from iBex to multiple room types at budgetplaces.com (eg. for length of stay price variations, etc)

Set field Min Stay Handling as required.Relevant options for budgetplaces.com are:

First Available – if you are setting up one to one room type mapping only and merely wish budgetplaces.com to operate to lowest min stay pricing.
Specific Minstays – if you wish to map a specific min stay duration pricing to budgetplaces.com and/or will be mapping one room type in Ibex to multiple room stay variations at budgetplaces.com.

Room and rate mapping will now be set – refer sample screen image below.

Complete each room mapping row as follows:

Remote Room Name – select as required (this is the room type name at budgetplaces.com)
Rate Name – Select as required.

To map any iBex room type to further room types at budgetplaces.com(eg. for differing minimum stays/rates – see notes at bottom of this page) click ‘+’

Check Enabled field (top of screen), check Re-Synch field (bottom left of screen) and click Save button.

Wait a few minutes and click View Log hyperlink (coloured blue).

If you have performed the connection successfully you will see OK messages for inventory and rates uploaded.

Additional Notes

1. Modification booking will be sent through from Budget Places.

2. iBex sends the price per occupancy rate to Budget Places. E.g. A double room for 2pax for $100, with an additional of $20 per an extra adult. iBex will send 1pax for $100, 2pax for $100 and 3pax for $120.

3. Ensure rooms are enabled in Budget Places with the correct rate plans mapped against it.

4. iBex will process new, modified and cancelled bookings.

5. Inventory & rate updates are up to 370 days.

6. Budget Places has included items like Breakfast and Cancellation policy as part of the rate plans, these will come through and display on the booking comment in iBex.
