Filters
Source Filter - this is how the booking was made and has the following options:
- All - Shows all bookings no matter what the source is.
- Online Only - If selected, will show only those records that have been sourced online i.e. a channel booking or a web booking but not back-end bookings
- Agent Only - This is dependent on the setting of Origin. If set to Booking Made By then it will only show agent bookings where the agent made the booking online, without assistance of the operator. If set to Booking Sourced by, it will include agent bookings where the booking was entered on behalf of the agent.
- Direct Bookings Only - If selected will show all back-end bookings and direct website bookings. It will exclude bookings entered on behalf of an agent.
- Mobi & Desktop - Will show only website bookings and the ratio of those made on a desktop/table vs smartphone.
Origin Filter - This field is mostly relevant for when the Source field is set to Agent Only.
If set to Bookings Made By then it will limit the display to those agents that are online channels or other agents that actually made the booking through your website booking screen using an agent code.
If set to Booking Sourced By, then it will include bookings sourced by an agent but entered by the operator (manually) on behalf of the agent. The Booking Sourced By looks for all bookings where that has a value in the booking source field as per image.
Period Filter - this initially opens with the current month and year for both from and to periods. However any period range can be entered and in this example, the period is from Jan 2016 to May 2016. The period can either be related to the dates the bookings were created (Sold On option) or the date of arrival for the booking or departure date.
Compare Period - This allows the report to be compared to a previous period. It will initially be blank with no period comparison. The options include:
-
Same period last month: If the period was set from Feb 2019 to Feb 2019, then the previous period would be from Jan 2019 to Jan 2019. If the period was set from January 2019 to May 2019, the previous period would be from December 2018 to April 2019.
-
Same period last year: If the period was set from Oct 2018 to Mar 2019, then the previous period would be from Oct 2017 to Mar 2018.
In the example below, we are comparing the current period (Feb 2019) with the previous period (Jan 2019).
